About The Ayurvedic Lifestyle

Hi and welcome to the Ayurvedic Lifestyle website. I hope you will find the site informative, but more than that inspiring enough to change your current lifestyle.

The Universe Gave Me Ayurveda

Like so many others, I grew up believing that life should be lived a certain way. I needed to get good grades in school, go to college, and get a well paying job to support myself and my future family. So that is exactly what I did. At the time I prided myself on finding my way in corporate America as a Certified Public Accountant. I spent countless hours stressed about work commitments, clients, and caught up in work drama.

Then, my husband and I decided to start a family. If you are a mother or parent, you can understand the monumental shift in life that occurs when you bring a child home. My career was forever changed from that moment forward. After having my second child just thirteen short months after my first I knew that I wanted and needed something different.

For the longest time I always told myself I wasn’t cut out to be a stay at home mom. But why? I I realize now that I was afraid of my capability and told myself I was better suited for a nine-to-five job than raising my own children.

Well circumstances should have it that I in fact became a stay at home mom and love it. Through my transition I was reading a book titled “Perfect Health” by Deepak Chopra. In it he touches just the surface of Ayurveda. I was intrigued to say the least.

My intrigue has led to this website and into the beginnings of my journey with Ayurveda.

What can Ayurveda do for you?

My yearning for a healthier more holistic life has led me to Ayurveda. My hope is that by sharing my journey into Ayurveda it will also inspire you. I know that I am not the only person that is/was stuck in the corporate hamster wheel of life wishing for something different.

Anything in life is possible. The Universe is at our beck and call to fulfill our deepest desires. To make our dreams a reality.

For me, Ayurveda is a step in that direction. My goal is that by sharing what I learn, along with practical ways to implement Ayurvedic practices, you will see that living a happy and healthy life is possible without having to make sacrifices.

All the best,

I am a big fan of all things holistic and natural, especially when it comes to personal health, and feeling good inside my body.

However, I also have shiny object syndrome and get caught up trying to implement too many things at once.

What is the best way to get started, in your opinion?

First, thank you for taking the time to visit my site and read about why I started this blog in the first place. I too at times suffer from “shiny object syndrome” and have high hopes for a certain program or shake to drink. Ayurveda however, is all about utilizing the knowledge inside of you! It doesn’t necessarily require you to purchase anything.

I got started by creating a morning routine or Dinacharya that set me up to have a great day. Please feel free to read my article on the topic. I highly suggest starting there because it can be overwhelming to start something new. Also, if you felt called to pursue Ayurveda further it would be highly beneficial to determine your dosha. I hope to have a quiz up in the future on this very topic.

      Take care,

    Hey Kirsten,

Your website is a fantastic source on Ayurveda and its concepts. You have very informative topics on Ayurveda and has a deep understanding of the subject. I must admit I pleasantly surprised.

I would definitely like if you categorize all your posts under different categories like ” Ayurvedic diet” “receips” “lifestyle” or “prakruti and their solutions” etc.

Overall a very good informative site.
